The mission of the Helping Hands Health and Wellness Center is to be the caring hands of Jesus to provide medical care, health education, counseling and social services to those with needs.

Helping Hands Health and Wellness Center is a non-profit free clinic the provides care to uninsured or underinsured adult patients.

  • provide free health care, health education, social services, and spiritual guidance.

  • find medication support for those in need of prescription assistance.

  • refer patients for dental care and other specialties.

  • offer our TB Skin Testing Program at a significantly reduced rate compared to other TB Testing sites.

All of our services are no cost and free to our patients with the exception of TB Skin Testing.  We ask that patients contribute an $8.00 donation for their TB Skin Tests.

We also...

  • opened our doors on April 20, 2007.

  • have seen over 8,000 patients since opening our doors.

  • have served patients from over 50 different zip codes throughout central Ohio.

According to the World Health Organization (2018), "health is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease and infirmity."  Helping Hands Health and Wellness Center attends to each aspect of the World Health Organization's definition of health.

Helping Hands Health and Wellness Center offers a TB Skin Testing Program and a Free Care Program.

Our TB Skin Testing Program is offered every Tuesday beginning at 10:00 am.  The TB Skin Testing is walk-in only; we do not have scheduled appointments.  Our services are offered from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and are offered on a "first come first served" basis.  TB Skin Tests are then read on the immediately following Thursday between 2:30 pm and 5:00 pm.  The cost of a TB Test is an $8.00 cash donation.  We do not serve individuals under age 18.

Our Free Care Program is offered every Thursday.  During our Free Care Program, we offer free physician care and free social services care.  We also offer work and/or school physicals during the Free Care Program. Bring the work and/or school physical form that needs to be completed.  Our Free Care Program is walk-in only and our doors open at 2:00 pm to begin sign-ins. We do not have scheduled appointments. Our services are offered on a “first come first served” basis. We accept patients until we reach our capacity. It is recommended that patients arrive when the doors first open.  There is no cost to be seen during our Free Care Program.  We do not serve individuals under age 18.

During the Free Care Program, we also offer additional services when volunteers are available:

  • Diabetes screenings

  • Hypertension screenings and treatment
