Clinic Operations Update
Due to the COVID-19 Omicron surge and the case numbers in both Ohio and Franklin County, our clinic has made the decision to only allow staff and board members to be on-site at the clinic at this time.
We appreciate all of the volunteers who are willing and able to participate virtually. Certainly we were not hoping to start the year this way, but we appreciate your support and understanding. We are looking forward to welcoming volunteers back on-site in March and will, as always, keep you as up-to-date as possible in regards to the changing circumstances.
COVID-19 Testing and Exposure Procedures
As the COVID-19 continues to change, we, as a clinic, need to adapt as well. For that reason, we have made some changes to our testing and exposure procedures.
We are asking that Board members, staff members, volunteers, patients, and supporters who have a known COVID-19 exposure, whether inside of clinic walls or outside of them, to either obtain a negative COVID-19 PCR test or wait 14 days prior to returning to the clinic. All clinic community members must be asymptomatic to engage with the clinic.
Patients who are exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms cannot be seen at the clinic without a negative COVID-19 PCR tests or waiting 14 days to receive care.
We thank you for following our guidelines and for respecting our decision to prioritize keeping our patients and community safe.
President's Day - Closed for the Holiday
Thank you to everyone who makes our clinic a success, but our clinic will be closed and no staff will be in the office on Monday, February 21st due to President's Day.
As a result, February's Women's Health Program appointments will take place on Monday, February 28th. If you have any questions about the program or program changes, please reach out to Allison at asmith@helpinghandsfreeclinic.org.
