AmeriCorps VISTA Position
We are looking for an Americorps VISTA member to commit one year of service at Helping Hands Health and Wellness Center! Welcome Heidi Hafer, NP!
Join us in welcoming Heidi, our new volunteer nurse practitioner! Heidi is a Nevada native who has now lived in 3 different states. She has been in medical work for about 15 years. She is a newly licensed nurse practitioner, and she is very excited to continue learning and growing in her new line of work. She loves working with geriatric and underserved communities and hopes to provide help where she can, spreading the love of God wherever she goes. She is a runner, hiker, avid puzzler, vegetarian, and all around animal lover. Last but not least, she has 3 cats with her sister. Thank you Heidi for your service to our patients at Helping Hands!
HealthyU 2021 - Diabetes Self-Management
This HealthyU class will teach participants with diabetes about how to manage it on a daily basis. Thank you Jan and Carlotta for teaching this valuable class!
Bowl to Help 2021: Volunteers Needed
We need 20 volunteers for Bowl to Help 2021! The event will be held on August 28th from 2-6 PM at Columbus Square Bowling Palace.
We will adhere to CDC guidelines and ensure the safety of all who attend. If you are interested in volunteering at the event, please email asmith@helpinghandsfreeclinic.org.
For those who cannot make it, we will be holding a virtual raffle. We are excited to bring back our signature fundraiser event and we hope that you will join us!
