Results of Pilot Program - Performing Physical Exams on Tuesdays
Our Pilot Program Has Ended & RESULTS are in!
Our clinic's 6-week pilot program, administering physical exams on Tuesdays during the TB Skin Testing Program has ended. Typically we hold our physicals during our Free Clinic on Thursdays, but we wanted to see if our patient population would benefit from having physicals be done on Tuesdays as well.
The results are in and we have some exciting news about this program!
Our clinic was pleasantly surprised with the outcome we had with this program. Over the six weeks the program was in place, the providers performed 42 physicals and nurses administered 103 TB Skin Tests. With the increase we saw in the number of patients who came to our facility, not only for TB test, but physicals as well, we believe that this is a program we may adopted in the near future. We are happy to help save some time and give our patients a jump start in their careers and/or school.
November Open House
Save the date for Our Open House!
Please join us on Wednesday, November 13th, 2019, as we applaud the move we made one year ago today to Epworth United Methodist Church! To acknowledge how far we've come in this first year in our new home, we're hosting an Open House and we want you to be there!
There will be a brief program at 6:00 PM, but guests are welcome to come and go as they please. Throughout the event, Helping Hands Health and Wellness Center staff and team members will provide clinic tours and updates on clinic events. The event will include light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.
We would love to have you celebrate our move with us! No RSVP Necessary!
Dinner and Manual Labor Volunteers

Also, if you, or anyone you know, enjoys providing meals for our wonderful volunteers – our clinic is looking for dinner preparation help for our Thursday night clinic.
